He chose to live like an artist

In a little spot at the back of his sister’s place

Where he gets by within small means

Under the eyes of kin.

He chose to live like an artist

Where wise words fill the air

And drunk ideas make sense;

Out of this world that is never fair.

He chose to live like an artist

Where clocks do not chime.

Like the sun that forever shines

Teasing trees to dance with the breeze.

He chose to live like an artist

But without an audience to please.

His life is the masterpiece

That fools threw into abyss.
