One Rainy Day

If given a chance

to erase a day,

and replace it with another

Not a minute, I’ll waste-

I’ll choose right away.

It could be

when you broke

all the mirrors,

hating your own reflection.

when you started taking

showers with the lights off,

anxious of prying eyes.

when you chose

to pick those seeds

for the promised eternal peace.

Any of those days I’d gladly

trade with one when we

danced in the rain,

barefooted,

purple lips,

streaming tears —

I’d have that day on repeat,

resolved that drizzles are

nothing against to a

storm that’s us.
